The legacy of the founders, Melpo Logotheti-Merlier (1890-1979) and Octave Merlier (1897 – 1976) constitute a valuable private archive. The correspondence, the collections and the works, including those that are still unpublished, cover a large period of time, from the 1910s until the 1970s. They reflect not only the knowledge or personal concerns of these two important personalities, but also the intellectual course of the modern Greeks during the 20th century. This material puts the Greek history of thought in the context of the respective European intellectual currents.
Catalogs of the contents of the two archives have been compiled by their close collaborators, Aglaia Ayoutanti and Eleni Papanikolaou respectively.
